13 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |

15 | Section 1. Subsection (18) is added to section 501.005, |
16 | Florida Statutes, to read: |
17 | 501.005 Consumer report security freeze.- |
18 | (18) The Department of Corrections shall provide each |
19 | inmate in a correctional facility the opportunity to place a |
20 | security freeze on his or her consumer report pursuant to this |
21 | section. The department shall, at the request of the inmate, |
22 | provide the appropriate forms to the inmate to initiate the |
23 | security freeze process. All fees and expenses incurred in the |
24 | application for a security freeze shall be paid by the inmate. |
25 | Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2010. |
