10 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |

12 | Section 1. Subsection (6) of section 474.202, Florida |
13 | Statutes, is amended to read: |
14 | 474.202 Definitions.-As used in this chapter: |
15 | (6) "Limited-service veterinary vaccination clinic |
16 | |
17 | performs vaccinations or immunizations on multiple animals at a |
18 | temporary location and operates for a limited time |

25 | Section 2. Subsection (7) of section 474.215, Florida |
26 | Statutes, is amended to read: |
27 | 474.215 Premises permits.- |
28 | (7) The board by rule shall establish minimum standards |
29 | for the operation of limited service veterinary vaccination |
30 | clinics |
31 | |
32 | with the type of limited veterinary vaccination and immunization |
33 | services |
34 | (a) Any person that offers or provides limited service |
35 | veterinary vaccination clinics |
36 | biennial permit from the board the cost of which shall not |
37 | exceed $250. The limited service permittee shall register each |
38 | location where a limited service veterinary vaccination clinic |
39 | is held and shall pay a fee set by rule not to exceed $25 to |
40 | register each such location. |
41 | (b) All permits issued under this subsection are subject |
42 | to the provisions of ss. 474.213 and 474.214. |
43 | (c) Notwithstanding any provision of this subsection to |
44 | the contrary, any temporary rabies vaccination effort operated |
45 | by a county health department in response to a public health |
46 | threat, as declared by the State Health Officer in consultation |
47 | with the State Veterinarian, is not subject to any |
48 | preregistration, time limitation, or fee requirements, but must |
49 | adhere to all other requirements for limited service veterinary |
50 | vaccination clinics |
51 | fee charged to the public for a rabies vaccination administered |
52 | during such temporary rabies vaccination effort may not exceed |
53 | the actual cost of administering the rabies vaccine. Such rabies |
54 | vaccination efforts may not be used for any purpose other than |
55 | to address the public health consequences of the rabies |
56 | outbreak. The board shall be immediately notified in writing of |
57 | any temporary rabies vaccination effort operated under this |
58 | paragraph. |
59 | Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 2011. |
