HB 1481

1	A bill to be entitled
2	An act relating to the City of Weeki Wachee, Hernando
3	County; amending chapter 2004-432, Laws of Florida;
4	limiting the rate of ad valorem taxation on real property;
5	prohibiting the levy of ad valorem taxes on tangible
6	personal property; providing an effective date.

8	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10	Section 1. Section 3 of chapter 2004-432, Laws of Florida,
11	is amended to read:
12	Section 3. The rate amount of ad valorem taxation taxes
13	levied by the City of Weeki Wachee annually on real and personal
14	property within the geographic boundaries of the city may not
15	exceed .001 mill on 3 percent per annum of the taxes levied of
16	the total assessed valuation of the property. The City of Weeki
17	Wachee may not levy ad valorem taxes on tangible personal
18	property.
19	Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
