1	A bill to be entitled
2	An act relating to support obligations; amending s.
3	222.25, F.S.; providing that support, separate
4	maintenance, or alimony already received is exempt from
5	creditor claims if necessary for the support of the person
6	or a dependent; providing an effective date.

8	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10	Section 1. Subsection (5) is added to section 222.25,
11	Florida Statutes, to read:
12	222.25 Other individual property of natural persons exempt
13	from legal process.-The following property is exempt from
14	attachment, garnishment, or other legal process:
15	(5) Support, separate maintenance, or alimony that has
16	already been received, to the extent reasonably necessary for
17	the support of the debtor or any dependent of the debtor.
18	Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2010.
