HB 7001

1	A bill to be entitled
2	An act relating to pari-mutuel permitholders; amending s.
3	26 of chapter 2009-170, Laws of Florida, an act relating
4	to gaming; revising the effective date provisions of that
5	act to remove the contingency requirements applicable to
6	provisions of the act relating to the pari-mutuel industry
7	and specify a date for those provisions to take effect;
8	providing an effective date.

10	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

12	Section 1. Section 26 of chapter 2009-170, Laws of
13	Florida, is amended to read:
14	Section 26. Sections 1 through 3 of this act and this
15	section shall take effect upon becoming law. Sections 4 through
16	25 shall take effect July 1, 2010 only if the Governor and an
17	authorized representative of the Seminole Tribe of Florida
18	execute an Indian Gaming Compact pursuant to the Indian Gaming
19	Regulatory Act of 1988 and requirements of this act, only if the
20	compact is ratified by the Legislature, and only if the compact
21	is approved or deemed approved, and not voided pursuant to the
22	terms of this act, by the Department of the Interior, and such
23	sections take effect on the date that the approved compact is
24	published in the Federal Register.
25	Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
