    2         An act relating to crime victim compensation; amending
    3         s. 960.03, F.S.; revising the definition of the term
    4         “crime” to provide victim compensation for additional
    5         offenses; providing an effective date.

    7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    8  
    9         Section 1. Paragraph (b) of subsection (3) of section
   10  960.03, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
   11         960.03 Definitions; ss. 960.01-960.28.—As used in ss.
   12  960.01-960.28, unless the context otherwise requires, the term:
   13         (3) “Crime” means:
   14         (b) A violation of s. 316.027(2), s. 316.192(3), s.
   15  316.193, s. 316.1935, s. 322.34(6), s. 327.30(5), s. 327.33(1),
   16  s. 327.35 s. 327.35(1), s. 782.071(1) s. 782.071(1)(b), s.
   17  782.072, or s. 860.13(1)(a) which results in physical injury or
   18  death.
   19         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2023.
