    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to the state lottery; amending s.
    3         24.105, F.S.; specifying the minimum commission rate
    4         for ticket sales by a retailer; providing that
    5         compensation and bonuses for certain other lottery
    6         related activities may be established by rules of the
    7         Department of the Lottery; providing an effective
    8         date.

   10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   11  
   12         Section 1. Paragraph (i) of subsection (9) of section
   13  24.105, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
   14         24.105 Powers and duties of department.—The department
   15  shall:
   16         (9) Adopt rules governing the establishment and operation
   17  of the state lottery, including:
   18         (i) The manner and amount of compensation of retailers.
   19  However, the minimum commission for Florida Lottery ticket sales
   20  must be 6 percent of the purchase price of each ticket sold by a
   21  retailer. The manner and amount of any additional sales or
   22  cashing commissions and bonuses for retailers may be set by
   23  department rule.
   24         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2022.
