    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to school district educational
    3         programs; requiring that a school district be given
    4         specified lead time to plan, budget, and implement
    5         certain new state requirements; providing an effective
    6         date.

    8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    9  
   10         Section 1. Unless the law provides 1 year or more before
   11  program implementation, a school district shall be given lead
   12  time of at least 1 year before implementing any new requirements
   13  of the Florida K-20 Education Code, chapters 1000-1013, Florida
   14  Statutes, which are brought about by the enactment of a new
   15  educational program or by changes to an existing major
   16  educational program, to allow the school district to properly
   17  plan, budget, and implement those new requirements.
   18         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2017.
