Summerlin Family 9 Bridge”; directing the Department of Transportation to 10 erect markers designating the bridge; providing an 11 effective date. 12 13 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 14 15 Section 1. Transportation facility designations; Department 16 of Transportation to erect suitable markers. 17 (1) That portion of U.S. 19 between Palm View Road and 18 Terra Ceia Road in Manatee County is designated as “Army 19 Specialist Nicholas Panipinto Memorial Highway.” 20 (2) The mid-block crossing and pedestrian hybrid beacon on 21 that portion of E. University Avenue/S.R. 26 between N.E. 26th 22 Terrace and S.E. 26th Terrace in Alachua County is designated as 23 “Dylan Roberts Memorial Crosswalk.” 24 (3) Those portions of the Gandy Bridge on U.S. 92 located 25 within the geographical boundaries of Hillsborough and Pinellas 26 Counties are designated as “AWF3 Mohammed ‘Mo’ Haitham Memorial 27 Way.” 28 (4) That portion of I-75 between U.S. 17/Duncan Road and 29 Harbor View Road in Charlotte County is designated as “Deputy 30 Sheriff Christopher Taylor Memorial Highway.” 31 (5) That portion of S.R. 434 between S.R. 400 and Ronald 32 Reagan Boulevard in Seminole County is designated as “Deputy 33 Sheriff George Pfeil Memorial Highway.” 34 (6) That portion of U.S. 17-92 between 1st Street and 25th 35 Street in Seminole County is designated as “Deputy Sheriff 36 Robert Moore Memorial Highway.” 37 (7) That portion of C.R. 419 between Snow Hill Road and the 38 Orange County line in Seminole County is designated as “Deputy 39 Sheriff James Cleveland Jacobs Memorial Highway.” 40 (8) That portion of Guana River Road between South Ponte 41 Vedra Boulevard and the Guana River Research Reserve in St. 42 Johns County is designated as “Henry Dean Road.” 43 (9) That portion of Bay Avenue between West 25th Street and 44 West 27th Street in Sunset Islands in Miami-Dade County is 45 designated as “Abe Resnick Drive.” 46 (10) That portion of S.W. 168th Street between U.S. 1 and 47 S.W. 89th Avenue in Miami-Dade County is designated as “Pastor 48 Rick Blackwood Street.” 49 (11) That portion of S.R. 16 between C.R. 225 and Rifle 50 Range Road in Clay County is designated as “Gus Kopelousos 51 Memorial Highway.” 52 (12) That portion of S.R. 997/Krome Avenue/W. 177th Avenue 53 between S.W. 8th Street and the entrance to the Miccosukee 54 Casino & Resort in Miami-Dade County is designated as “MICCO 55 Way.” 56 (13) That portion of S.R. 59 between U.S. 90 and U.S. 27 in 57 Leon and Jefferson Counties is designated as “Major John Leroy 58 Haynes Memorial Highway.” 59 (14) That portion of I-10 between the Alabama state line 60 and I-75 is designated as “Tuskegee Airmen Memorial Highway.” 61 (15) That portion of S.R. 570/Polk Parkway between mile 62 marker 3.5 and mile marker 2.5 in Polk County is designated as 63 “Randy Roberts Memorial Highway.” 64 (16) That portion of S.R. 35/George Jenkins Boulevard 65 between Kathleen Road and North Sloan Avenue in Polk County is 66 designated as “Carol Jenkins Barnett Memorial Highway.” 67 (17) The Department of Transportation is directed to erect 68 suitable markers designating the transportation facilities as 69 described in this section. 70 Section 2. Sections 1 and 2 of chapter 65-781, Laws of 71 Florida, are amended to read: 72 Section 1. Upon completion of construction, the new S.R. 73 A1A North Causeway Bridge over the Intracoastal WaterwayThe74north bridge in St. Lucie county across Indian River on highway75A-1-Ais designated as the “E.C. Summerlin Familyhereby76dedicatedand named the “D. H. ‘Banty’ SaundersBridge.” 77 Section 2. Thestate roadDepartment of Transportation is 78 directed to erect suitable markers designating the E.C. 79 Summerlin Family Bridge as described in section 1.authorized80and empowered to affix proper plaques to saidbridge bearing the81name “D. H. ‘Banty’ SaundersBridge.”82 Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 2024.
