Florida Senate - 2012 CS for SB 954 By the Committee on Transportation; and Senator Margolis 596-02942-12 2012954c1 1 A bill to be entitled 2 An act relating to transportation facility 3 designations; providing honorary designations of 4 certain transportation facilities in specified 5 counties; directing the Department of Transportation 6 to erect suitable markers; providing an effective 7 date. 8 9 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 10 11 Section 1. Mardi Gras Way designated; Department of 12 Transportation to erect suitable markers.— 13 (1) That portion of State Road 824 between Interstate 14 95/State Road 9 and U.S. 1/State Road 5 in Broward County is 15 designated as “Mardi Gras Way.” 16 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to erect 17 suitable markers designating Mardi Gras Way as described in 18 subsection (1). 19 Section 2. West Park Boulevard designated; Department of 20 Transportation to erect suitable markers.— 21 (1) That portion of U.S. 441/State Road 7 between State 22 Road 824/Pembroke Road and State Road 852/N.W. 215th 23 Street/County Line Road in Broward County is designated as “West 24 Park Boulevard.” 25 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to erect 26 suitable markers designating West Park Boulevard as described in 27 subsection (1). 28 Section 3. Pembroke Park Boulevard designated; Department 29 of Transportation to erect suitable markers.— 30 (1) That portion of State Road 858/Hallandale Beach 31 Boulevard between Interstate 95/State Road 9 and S.W. 56th 32 Avenue in Broward County is designated as “Pembroke Park 33 Boulevard.” 34 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to erect 35 suitable markers designating Pembroke Park Boulevard as 36 described in subsection (1). 37 Section 4. This act shall take effect July 1, 2012.
