Florida Senate - 2015 (NP) SR 1648 By Senator Gardiner 13-03462A-15 20151648__ 1 Senate Resolution 2 A resolution congratulating the Winter Park High 3 School Wildcats girls cross country team for winning 4 the 2014 Florida High School Athletic Association 5 Class 4A Championship. 6 7 WHEREAS, the 2014 Winter Park High School Wildcats girls 8 cross country team finished the season as Florida 4A State 9 Champions, and 10 WHEREAS, on November 15, 2014, the Winter Park Wildcats 11 placed first in the Florida High School Athletic Association 12 Class 4A Championship, posting the third-fastest team average 13 time in state history and the third-best team score in team 14 history, and 15 WHEREAS, four individual runners received All State honors 16 for placing in the top 10, including the individual state 17 champion, and 18 WHEREAS, exhibiting exemplary leadership and guidance to 19 the team throughout the season were coaches Kristin McWilliams, 20 Kathy Anguish, and Tracy Nolen, and 21 WHEREAS, outstanding skill, sportsmanship, and 22 competitiveness are characteristics that have been consistently 23 demonstrated by Wildcat runners Rafaella Gibbons, Hana Herndon, 24 Elizabeth Jenkins, Katherine Kuhn, Maddison Larabee, Emily Nix, 25 and Melanie White, and 26 WHEREAS, the residents of Winter Park and the surrounding 27 community admire the hard work and team spirit demonstrated by 28 the 2014 Winter Park Wildcats girls cross country team during 29 the 2014-2015 season and commend the team on its many 30 accomplishments, NOW, THEREFORE, 31 32 Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida: 33 34 That the 2014 Winter Park High School Wildcats girls cross 35 country team is congratulated for winning the 2014 Florida High 36 School Athletic Association Class 4A Championship and recognized 37 for its athletic ability, model sportsmanship, and honorable 38 citizenship, as well as the outstanding accomplishments of the 39 team members and coaches.
