BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act known as the "Macon-Bibb County Transit Authority Act of 1980,"
approved March 26, 1980, (Ga. L. 1980, p. 4313), as amended, so as to provide
for the power of the authority to enter into contracts with counties and
municipal corporations to provide public transportation services; to provide for
related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other
purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act known as the "Macon-Bibb County Transit Authority Act of 1980," approved
March 26, 1980, (Ga. L. 1980, p. 4313), as amended, is amended by adding a new
paragraph to subsection (a) of Section 3.1, as follows:
"(14)
To contract with a county or municipal corporation for a period not to exceed 50
years to provide for public transportation services to be rendered by the
authority or its transit system."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
