A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT


To amend Article 1 of Chapter 9 of Title 50 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to general provisions for the Georgia Building Authority, so as to require the authority to adopt a master plan for the Capital Square area; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.
Article 1 of Chapter 9 of Title 50 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to general provisions for the Georgia Building Authority, is revised by adding a new Code section to read as follows:
"50-9-18.
(a) For purposes of this Code section, the term:
(1) 'Capital Square' means that area described and designated as capital square in Code Section 50-2-28.
(2) 'Master plan' means any document adopted by the authority which creates a financially feasible development concept for all real property, buildings, and facilities owned or controlled by the authority in Capitol Square and includes a narrative and maps.
(b) No later than July 30, 2010, the authority shall develop and adopt a master plan. The master plan shall describe present property uses and land development plans. The authority is authorized to adopt policies and procedures for the development and modification of the master plan."

SECTION 2.
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
