A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT

To amend an Act providing for the election of members of the Board of Education of Twiggs County, approved March 26, 1982 (Ga. L. 1982, p. 3627), as amended, particularly by an Act approved March 24, 1994 (Ga. L. 1994, p. 4048), so as to change provisions relating to the compensation of members of the board; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.

An Act providing for the election of members of the Board of Education of Twiggs County, approved March 26, 1982 (Ga. L. 1982, p. 3627), as amended, particularly by an Act approved March 24, 1994 (Ga. L. 1994, p. 4048), is amended by revising Section 4 to read as follows:

"SECTION 4.

The chairman of the board of education shall be compensated in the amount of $9,000.00 per annum, and each of the other members of the board shall be compensated in the amount of $7,200.00 per annum. The chairman and other members shall be paid in equal monthly installments from the funds of the board of education."

SECTION 2.

This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2011.

SECTION 3.

All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
