A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT

To amend an Act providing a new charter for the City of Dublin, Georgia, in the County of Laurens, approved April 11, 1979 (Ga. L. 1979, p. 3568), as amended, particularly by an Act approved May 5, 2006 (Ga. L. 2006, p. 4409), so as to change the corporate limits of the city; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.

An Act providing a new charter for the City of Dublin, Georgia, in the County of Laurens, approved April 11, 1979 (Ga. L. 1979, p. 3568), as amended, particularly by an Act approved May 5, 2006 (Ga. L. 2006, p. 4409), is revised in Section 1.2 by adding a new subsection to read as follows:

"(g) The corporate limits of the City of Dublin shall also include the following described tracts of land:

(1) All that portion of Academy Avenue Extension (County Road #336), beginning at its intersection with Firetower Road (County Road #337) and extending in a southwesterly direction a distance of 0.5 miles for the uniform width of the right of way to the intersection of Academy Avenue Extension (Country Road #336) with the southwesterly right of way of Hummingbird Drive, said section of roadway being located in land lot 91 of the first land district of Laurens County, Georgia.

(2) All that section of Bellevue Road beginning at Ga. State Highway 257, extending in a northerly direction a distance of 0.3 miles the uniform width of the right of way to its intersection with Industrial Boulevard said section of road way lying and being in land lots 131 & 132 of the first land district of Laurens County, Georgia.

(3) All that portion of Moore Station Road (County Road #360), beginning at its intersection with Industrial Boulevard and extending in a westerly direction a distance of 1.3 miles for the uniform width of the right of way to its intersection with Edwards Lane (County Road #359), said section of road way lying and being in land lots 114, 115, 131 & 165 of the first land district of Laurens County, Georgia.

(4) All that portion of Walke Dairy Road (County Road #338), beginning at its intersection with Ga. State Highway 26/U.S. Highway 80 and extending in a westerly direction a distance of 1.1 miles for the uniform width of the right of way to its intersection with Edwards Lane (County Road #359), said section of road way lying and being in land lots 116, 129, 130, 166 & 167 of the first land district of Laurens County, Georgia.

(5) All that portion of Claxton Dairy Road (County Road #530), beginning at the intersection of Claxton Dairy Road and Pinehurst Drive and extending in a northwesterly direction a distance of 2.0 miles for the uniform width of the right of way to the intersection of Claxton Dairy Road (County Road #530) with Mace Cannon Road, (formerly known as the Old Josey Road), (County Road #402), said section of road way lying and being in land lots 177, 178, 215, 216, 217, 218, 228 & 229 of the first land district of Laurens County, Georgia.

(6) All that portion of Ga. State Route 29/U.S. Highway 441 beginning at the intersection of Ga. State Route 29/U.S. Highway 441 and Shadow Pond Road in the City of Dublin and extending in a northwesterly direction in a distance of 3 miles for the uniform width of the right of way to the intersection of Ga. State Route 29/U.S. Highway 441 and Ed Swinson Road (formerly known as Strawberry Rd.), (County Road #471), said section of road way lying and being in land lots 242, 243, 244, 245, 246 & 247 of the first land district of Laurens County, Georgia.

(7) All that portion of Parker Dairy Road (County Road #460), beginning at the center line of Hunger and Hardship Creek and extending there from in a northerly then westerly direction a distance of 2 miles for the uniform width of the right of way to the intersection of Parker Dairy Road (County Road #460) and Wells Circle (Country Road #457), this being the most northwesterly intersection of Parker Dairy Road (County Road #460) and Wells Circle (County Road #457) lying adjacent to property now or formally owned by Wansley T. Hughes, Jr. having a current Laurens County Tax parcel ID of D14A-00l and the property now or formally of Iris Inez Whittle currently having a Laurens County Tax Parcel ID of 150C-110; said section of road way lying and being in land lots 256, 257, 258, 259, 262, 263, 264, 265 of the first land district of Laurens County, Georgia.

(8) All that portion of Country Club Road (County Road #454), beginning at the intersection of Country Club Road (County Road #454) and Hobbins Drive and extending in a northerly direction for a distance of 0.3 miles for the uniform width of the right of way to the intersection of Country Club Road (County Road #454) and Parker Dairy Road (County Road #460), said section of road way lying and being in land lot 257 of the first land district of Laurens County, Georgia.

(9) All that portion of Henderson Road (County Road #788), beginning at the intersection of Henderson Road (County Road # 788) with Georgia Highway 19 and extending therefrom in an easterly direction a distance of 777 feet for the uniform width of the right of way, said section of road way lying and being in land lot 187 of the first land district of Laurens County, Georgia."

SECTION 2.

All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
