RESOLUTION
Honoring
the life and memory of Sister Hervie Ellzey Kaigler; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia mourns the loss of Sister Hervie Ellzey Kaigler on November
13, 2011; and
WHEREAS,
Sister Hervie Ellzey Kaigler was born on January 3, 1917 in Walthall County,
Mississippi, a beloved daughter of Clora McElveen and Iverson Ellzey; and
WHEREAS,
she was a faithful member of the St. Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in
Walthall County, Mississippi; and
WHEREAS,
Hervie was united in holy matrimony to Wilbur Kaigler, Sr., on February 22,
1936, and was blessed with ten children during their 63 year union;
and
WHEREAS,
her greatest pride was to see her children and grandchildren receive the best
education possible; and
WHEREAS,
Sister Hervie Ellzey Kaigler will be remembered for her strong faith, dedication
to her children and family, as well as her delicious cooking and love of
reading.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join in honoring the life and memory Sister Hervie Ellzey Kaigler and
express their deepest and most sincere regret at her passing.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of
Sister Hervie Ellzey Kaigler.
