RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Hayden Jordan; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Hayden Jordan is a senior at Whitewater High School in Fayette County, Georgia,
and has received an athletic scholarship to play baseball at Tallahassee
Community College following his graduation this spring; and
WHEREAS,
Hayden began playing baseball in 1994 at the age of three and plays first base
and pitches for the Whitewater Wildcats and the East Cobb Braves;
and
WHEREAS,
a precise and powerful pitcher, Hayden's fastest pitch has been recorded at an
impressive 93 miles per hour; and
WHEREAS,
in January 2010, he was invited to practice with the Atlanta Braves and
demonstrated his skill on the mound with a 92 mile per hour fastball;
and
WHEREAS,
during his years as a baseball player, Hayden has been recognized with numerous
awards and honors for his dedication, teamwork, and athletic talent;
and
WHEREAS,
Hayden's success has brought great pride to his parents, Bruce and Julie, his
friends, his school, and his community; and
WHEREAS,
this stellar young athlete epitomizes the courage, determination, leadership,
and character necessary to attain excellence in athletic prowess and performance
and to achieve success as an individual and citizen; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the superlative skills and outstanding
deeds of this accomplished athlete be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body recognize Hayden Jordan for his accomplished athletic performance,
congratulate him on earning an athletic college scholarship, and extend to him
their sincerest best wishes for continued success in the future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Hayden
Jordan.
