RESOLUTION
Commending
the Paulding County High School JROTC Raiders Recon Team; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Paulding County High School JROTC Raiders Recon Team have a reputation in
the community and throughout this state for strength, determination, and
dedication; and
WHEREAS,
in November, 2008, the Raiders Recon Team justified this reputation again by
bringing home the school's second consecutive title as National Raider
Champions; and
WHEREAS,
to earn the title of national champions, the Raiders Recon Team competed against
56 teams from all over the country in five events: Strength Test, Rope Bridge,
Gauntlet, Cross Country Rescue, and Five-Mile Team Run; and
WHEREAS,
the phenomenal performances of Tiffany Lee, Cody Brown, Caleb Neely, Ashley
Howard, Maceo Lester, and Robert Gossett are a clear indication of the
outstanding athletic ability, the dedication and hard work, and the unity of
purpose and spirit of each member of the team; and
WHEREAS,
these magnificent cadets performed with precision during their events and serve
as exceptional role models for all students in the State of
Georgia.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend the Paulding County High School JROTC Recon Team for its
outstanding achievements and extend their sincerest best wishes for continued
success in the future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Paulding
County High School and the members of the Paulding County High School JROTC
Recon Team.
