RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Master Sergeant Angela D. Drew; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
she served as a guardian of this nation's freedom and liberty with the United
States military, valiantly and courageously protecting her fellow Americans
since 1988; and
WHEREAS,
Master Sergeant Angela D. Drew joined the Virginia Army National Guard in 1988
and has been a member of the Army Reserve since 2000; and
WHEREAS,
MSG Drew is the Maintenance Management Control Sergeant with the 950th Combat
Support Company; and
WHEREAS,
she organizes, trains, and equips a work force of more than five technicians and
managers and maintains over $7 million worth of pieces of equipment system
inventory; and
WHEREAS,
she develops maintenance policy to ensure the readiness of the single largest
element of manpower supporting Army combat forces and supervises, plans,
coordinates, and directs the unit and provides direct support and general
support maintenance of all mechanical equipment; and
WHEREAS,
MSG Drew provides senior enlisted leadership and supervision to lower ranking
soldiers in the Maintenance Field Equipment; and
WHEREAS,
she has been honored numerous times, including the Meritorious Service Medal,
four Army Commendation Medals, two Army Achievement Medals, six Good Conduct
Medals, three Army Reserve Component Achievement Medals, two National Defense
Service Medals, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Armed Forces
Reserve Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and three NCO Professional Development
Ribbons; and
WHEREAS,
she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness and, by the example she has made
of her life, she has made this world a better place in which to live;
and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Master Sergeant Angela D. Drew for her efficient, effective,
unselfish, and dedicated service to the citizens of this country and extend
their most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Master
Sergeant Angela D. Drew.
