RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Rachel Cramer; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Rachel Cramer has earned a Silver Award, the highest award conferred by the Girl
Scouts of America for girls ages 11 to 14; and
WHEREAS,
the Girl Scout Silver Award represents a girl's accomplishments in Girl Scouting
and her community as she grows and works to improve her life and the lives of
others; and
WHEREAS,
the purpose of Girl Scouting is to inspire girls with the highest ideals of
character, conduct, patriotism, and service so that they may become happy and
resourceful citizens; and
WHEREAS,
throughout the organization's distinguished history, Girl Scouting has instilled
millions of girls and women with the courage, confidence, and character to make
the world a better place; and
WHEREAS,
a candidate for this most exceptional award in scouting must complete a rigorous
program of training and complete a Silver Award project to benefit their
community; and
WHEREAS,
this dedicated young lady is a member of Troop 262 and has demonstrated great
leadership skills and initiative during her years with the Girl Scouts of
America program; and
WHEREAS,
the perseverance and determination displayed by this exceptional young leader is
an example for all Georgians, and the members of this body look forward with
great anticipation to her many future accomplishments.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Rachel Cramer for her diligence and dedication in pursuing a
Silver Award and congratulate her on attaining this most prestigious
award.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Rachel
Cramer.
