A RESOLUTION


Recognizing and commending Amity Lodge #731 of the Free and Accepted Masons in Watkinsville, Georgia; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Amity Lodge #731 of the Free and Accepted Masons in Watkinsville, Georgia, was chartered in 1967 under the leadership of First Worshipful Master Major Rice; and

WHEREAS, over the last 43 years, Amity Lodge #731 has grown to great heights and provided diligent and conscientious service to the residents of Watkinsville, Georgia; and

WHEREAS, the members of Amity Lodge #731 have a long and proud history of supporting programs for local communities, including funding the Christmas for Kids program, providing financial assistance to the Masonic Children's Home and Scottish Rite and Shrine Hospital programs, and assisting with programs for Masonic widows and shut-ins; and

WHEREAS, this amazing group sponsors and conducts the Georgia Child Identification Project, which provides families with personalized CDs containing vital identifying data of their child to be used to assist law enforcement officials if the child goes missing; and

WHEREAS, members of Amity Lodge #731 are led by Present Worshipful Master Pat Holl and include dedicated county leaders and prominent county residents, including Past Grand Master Earl Harris; and

WHEREAS, working together, the members of Amity Lodge #731 have made great contributions to their community and nation; and

WHEREAS, this exemplary civic organization and all of its outstanding members have given generously of their time and assets, thereby accomplishing great missions, contributing tremendously to the quality of life in their community, and bringing honor and credit to Watkinsville and the State of Georgia.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Amity Lodge #731 of the Free and Accepted Masons for their magnificent contributions to the State of Georgia.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Amity Lodge #731 of the Free and Accepted Masons.
