RESOLUTION
Commending
Dalton Benjamin Richards and inviting him to be recognized by the House of
Representatives; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Dalton Benjamin Richards has demonstrated great skill and determination in the
sport of rodeo; and
WHEREAS,
Dalton has earned both state and national acclaim for his amazing rodeo
performances; and
WHEREAS,
during the 2010 National High School Rodeo Association finals in Gillette,
Wyoming, Dalton earned the title of 2010 National Tie Down Calf Roping Champion,
2010 National All-Around Cowboy, and placed 11th in the Team Roping competition;
and
WHEREAS,
at the Georgia High School Rodeo Association State Finals, Dalton won the 2010
Georgia State Champion Tie Down Calf Roping, the 2010 Georgia State Reserve Team
Roping Champion, and the 2010 Georgia State Reserve All-Around Cowboy titles;
and
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia honors the accomplishments of this outstanding young
champion and applauds the fine example he has set for student athletes across
this state; and
WHEREAS,
Dalton brings great pride to his family, neighbors, and community, and the State
of Georgia looks with great anticipation to the future of this bright and
promising young athlete.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Dalton Benjamin Richards on his many outstanding achievements
and invite him to be recognized by the House of Representatives at a date and
time to be determined by the Speaker of the House of
Representatives.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Dalton
Benjamin Richards.
