RESOLUTION
Commending
a future leader, George E. Brown; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
George E. Brown was an outstanding member of the Leadership Greene 2009 class, a
local program which applies the effective principles of Leadership Georgia;
and
WHEREAS,
participants in the Leadership Greene program represent the exceptional young
leaders of the county and the challenging educational program is designed to
prepare them to be outstanding future leaders of Georgia and Greene County;
and
WHEREAS,
Leadership Greene recognizes demonstrated and potential leadership, where
selection alone stands as a testament to the promising character of its gifted
participants, who seize this opportunity to better themselves and, ultimately,
their community; and
WHEREAS,
participation in Leadership Greene requires a substantial investment of time and
energy, but the participants are enriched by the relationships they form with
each other, as well as by the knowledge and understanding they gain from experts
on such topics as governmental organization, education, private enterprise,
natural resources, finance, and rural and urban development; and
WHEREAS,
participants in the Leadership Greene program have shown great commitment to
their community and their futures through their dedicated work in mastering the
art of good leadership.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body wholeheartedly commend George E. Brown for an exemplary performance
and energetic participation in Leadership Greene 2009 and look with great
anticipation toward the bright and promising future of this community
leader.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to George E.
Brown.
