WHEREAS, the GBCCF has helped secure funding for BreasTest & More breast and cervical cancer screening and implemented the Medicaid Breast and Cervical Cancer treatment program for Georgians; and

WHEREAS, GBCCF has helped raise revenues to fight breast cancer in Georgia through enactment of an income tax check-off that has yielded over $2.75 million for breast cancer research and the breast cancer license plate that has generated over $2 million for education, screening, and treatment services for women in need; and

WHEREAS, through its advocacy program, GBCCF reaches out to Georgians all over this state to hear their stories and concerns, to educate about breast cancer, to build advocacy skills, and to help survivors, families, and friends affected by breast cancer make their voices heard.
