RESOLUTION
Commending
Christen Crosby; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Christen Crosby is recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital role
that she has played in community leadership and her deep personal commitment to
the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time,
talents, and energy toward the betterment of this state as evidenced
dramatically by her superlative service as a legislative intern during the 2009
Regular Session of the General Assembly of Georgia for the House Committee on
Ways and Means; and
WHEREAS,
her equanimity, professionalism, and good will served her in good stead as she
exercised her many duties on behalf of all of the members of this body and in
particular the gentleman from the 146th District; and
WHEREAS,
she has been bestowed lovingly the title of diva as she utilizes the entirety of
the floor space in the chairman's office assembling members' folders with a
never-ending array of substitutes and fiscal notes, all the while sporting her
trademark three-inch high heels; and
WHEREAS,
this scholar of English and Political Science is currently a junior at Georgia
State University where she is continuing her studies in the Georgia Politics
class of "Professor" Steve Anthony, a renowned former member of the Filibusters
Softball Team; and
WHEREAS,
this summer Christen will broaden further her political experience through a
coveted internship with Honorable Saxby Chambliss of the United States Senate;
and
WHEREAS,
her significant organizational and leadership talents, her remarkable patience
and diplomacy, her keen sense of vision, and her sensitivity to the needs of the
members of the General Assembly have earned her the respect and admiration of
her colleagues and associates; and
WHEREAS,
she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; her loyalty, competency,
reliability, and enthusiasm have distinguished her superlative service to this
state; and her friendship is counted by everyone under the Gold Dome as a
special experience they will always treasure; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Christen Crosby for her efficient, effective, unselfish, and
dedicated public service to the citizens of this state and extend to her their
most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House is authorized and directed to
transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Christen Crosby.
