BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
provide that the chief magistrate of Lee County shall appoint the clerk of the
Magistrate Court of Lee County; to provide that the clerk's salary is to be
fixed by the board of commissioners; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other
purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
Any
other provision of law to the contrary notwithstanding, the chief magistrate of
Lee County shall have the authority to appoint a person other than the clerk of
the superior court to serve as clerk of the Magistrate Court of Lee County. The
salary of the clerk of the magistrate court shall be fixed by the Lee County
Board of Commissioners.
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
