A
RESOLUTION
Commending
Rhonda Cowart, Woodstock High School's 2011 STAR Teacher; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most
important objective of the General Assembly; and
WHEREAS,
Rhonda Cowart has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the
vital role that she has played in the teaching profession and her deep personal
commitment to the education of the students of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
Rhonda Cowart has earned distinction and numerous awards for teaching excellence
as a result of her dedication to her students and her profession and has been
honored as Woodstock High School's 2011 STAR Teacher; and
WHEREAS,
in recognition of her contributions to the education and welfare of young people
in this state, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the
extraordinary accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding
individual.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
heartily Rhonda Cowart, Woodstock High School's 2011 STAR Teacher, and express
to her their most sincere best wishes for continued success in the
future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Rhonda Cowart.
