Recognizing
and commending the
Wines Down South
online travel magazine and CEO and
Publisher Sheila Brewington; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Wines Down
South is a one-of-a-kind online
publication that helps attract new tourism into Georgia from the South, across
the nation, and internationally; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Sheila Brewington diligently and conscientiously devotes her time, talents,
and energy to Wines
Down South as its CEO and publisher;
and
WHEREAS,
Wines Down South
serves as a place to showcase Georgia's
parks, streams, lodging, restaurants, resorts, and festivals, attracting new
visitors to the State of Georgia whose interest is piqued by a visit to this
amazing site; and
WHEREAS,
with dedicated and talented staff, including Webmaster Steve Cannon, Artistic
Designer Val Kruse, and Features Editor Doc Lawrence,
Wines Down
South highlights popular Georgia
attractions such as this state's remarkable wineries; and
WHEREAS,
by visiting winesdownsouth.com, readers can experience a multimedia magazine
that combines text, video, audio, and interactive storytelling; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding work of this incredible
online magazine and its numerous contributions to the citizens of this state be
appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Wines Down
South for its informative and innovative
content and recognize the economic impact this website will have on the State of
Georgia.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Sheila Brewington.
