RESOLUTION
Commending
Mr. Matt Kemper, Pope High School's 2011 STAR Teacher; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most
important objective of the General Assembly; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Matt Kemper has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the
vital role that he has played in the teaching profession and his deep personal
commitment to the education of the students of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
in recognition of his outstanding dedication to academic achievement, he has
been named Pope High School's 2011 STAR Teacher by STAR Student Alex Van
Buskirk; and
WHEREAS,
in recognition of his contributions to the education and welfare of young people
in this state, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the
extraordinary accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding
individual.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body heartily
and gratefully commend Mr. Matt Kemper for his sacrifice, foresight,
accomplishment, and contributions on behalf of education in Georgia; recognize
the positive influence he has had upon the lives and futures of so many young
people in this state; and congratulate him upon being named Pope High School's
2011 STAR Teacher.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Matt Kemper.
