A
RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Pastor Jermaine A. Smith; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Pastor Jermaine A. Smith offers unmatched spiritual assistance and is a source
of strength, Divine guidance, and direction for persons in all walks of life and
from all economic strata; and
WHEREAS,
born on April 24, 1973, in Lithonia, Georgia, Pastor Smith graduated from
Lithonia High School and holds an associate's degree in Leadership and
Administration from Beulah Heights University where he is currently working
towards his bachelor's degree; and
WHEREAS,
Pastor Smith accepted the calling to minister the Word of God in 1993 and was
ordained at Light of the World Church in 2005, where he served as assistant
pastor and minister of music; and
WHEREAS,
currently serving as pastor at Pleasant View Baptist Church, Pastor Smith has
given inspiration to many through his high ideals, morals, and deep concern for
his fellow citizens, and he possesses the vast wisdom which only comes through
experience and the strength of character which is achieved through overcoming
the many challenges of life; and
WHEREAS,
Pastor Smith has been united in love and marriage to Tracee Waller since
December of 1993 and the couple has been blessed with three remarkable children,
Christian, Trinity, and Zion; and
WHEREAS,
he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example he has made
of his life, he makes this world a better place in which to live; it is only
fitting and proper that he be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Pastor Jermaine A. Smith for his unparalleled record of community service and
his innumerable good works rendered on behalf of persons in need; recognize the
lifelong, dynamic Christian Ministry of this devout and pious man; and extend to
him their most sincere best wishes for continued health and
happiness.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Pastor Jermaine A. Smith.
