RESOLUTION
Commending
Michael Shin; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most
important objective of the General Assembly; and
WHEREAS,
Michael Shin has shown by the example of his academic accomplishments that the
pursuit and attainment of scholastic success is within the reach of the students
in this state; and
WHEREAS,
this remarkable scholar has earned distinction through his remarkable
achievements as a student at Harrison High School where he was a gifted student
and was selected as Harrison High School 2008 STAR Student; and
WHEREAS,
he has personified the selfless dedication, mental agility, verbal adroitness,
and personal maturity necessary for superlative academic performance;
and
WHEREAS,
in a world which seems to accentuate consistently the negative aspects of young
people, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the
extraordinary accomplishments, intellectual acumen, and unsurpassed commitment
to excellence of such an outstanding individual.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body heartily
commend Michael Shin for his spectacular scholastic endeavors and express to him
their sincerest best wishes for continued academic success in the
future.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Michael Shin.
