A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO capital improvement projects for the benefit of the twenty-fourth representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2009-2010.
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Manoa elementary school, Oahu
Plans, design, and construction to install a play court cover for the blacktop area adjacent to building E (cafetorium).
Plans $ 25,000
Design 50,000
Construction 425,000
Total funding $ 500,000
B. Noelani elementary school, Oahu
Plans, design, and construction for multipurpose classroom space to be located above the play court adjacent to building A.
Plans $ 5,000
Design 25,000
Construction 170,000
Total funding $ 200,000
C. Roosevelt high school, Oahu
Plans for an update of the school campus master plan.
Plans $ 200,000
Total funding $ 200,000
D. Manoa public library, Oahu
Equipment including furniture, shelving, racks, displays, white boards, and carts for the new library facility.
Equipment $ 250,000
Total funding $ 250,000
E. McCully-Moiliili public library, Oahu
Construction of security gates and fence around the full perimeter of the library facility and parking area.
Plans $ 1,000
Design 9,000
Construction 100,000
Total funding $ 110,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2009.
