A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE FORTY-fifth REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2009-2010:
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Kamaile elementary school, Oahu
Plans, design and construction for air conditioning for the school.
Total funding $ 3,500,000
B. Leihoku elementary school, Oahu
Plans, design, and construction for air conditioning for the school.
Total funding $ 3,500,000
C. Makaha elementary school, Oahu
Plans, design, and construction for air conditioning for library expansion and air conditioning.
Total funding $ 3,000,000
D. Waianae elementary school, Oahu
Plans, design, and construction for administration building.
Total funding $ 4,500,000
E. Waianae high school, Oahu
Plans, design, and construction to expand the cafeteria.
Total funding $ 3,500,000
F. Waianae intermediate school, Oahu
Plans, design, and construction for air conditioning for the school.
Total funding $ 4,000,000
G. school, Oahu
Plans, design, and installation of football goalposts and baseball backstop.
Total funding $ 11,000
2. To be expended by the University of Hawaii:
A. Leeward community college, Oahu
Land and building acquisition,
plans, and design for the Waianae
education center. FY 2009-2010 $ 2,000,000
Construction and Equipment FY 2010-2011 3,600,000
Total funding $ 5,600,000
3. To be expended by the department of transportation:
A. Farrington highway, Oahu
Design and construction for the installation of turn lanes at the intersections of Haleakala and Nanakuli avenues on Farrington highway. This project is deemed necessary to qualify for federal aid financing and/or reimbursement.
Total funding $ 7,000,000
3. To be expended by the department of land and natural resources:
A. , Oahu
Plans, design, and installation of football goalposts and baseball backstop at a state park located in Waianae.
Total funding $ 11,000
4. To be expended by the department of health:
A. Waianae coast comprehensive health center, Oahu
Plans, design, construction for the expansion and renovation of facilities at Waianae coast comprehensive health center, phase II.

Design 1,000
Construction 2,498,000
Total funding $ 2,500,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2009.
