A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO THE FAILURE TO FILE A REPORT WITH THE CAMPAIGN SPENDING COMMISSION.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  Section 11-340, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending subsection (f) to read as follows:

     "(f)  The commission shall publish on its website the names of all candidate and noncandidate committees that have failed to:

     (1)  File a report; or

     (2)  Correct a report within [the time allowed by] two weeks from the notice to correct provided by the commission."

     SECTION 2.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.


 


 

Report Title:

Failure to File a Report or Corrected Report; Publishing Names of Violators

 

Description:

Requires the Campaign Spending Commission to publish on its website the names of all candidate and noncandidate committees that fail to file a report or to correct a report within two weeks of the Commission's notice to correct.  (HB281 CD1)
