TWENTY-EIGHTH LEGISLATURE, 2015
STATE OF HAWAII

A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to transportation.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 

     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $          or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2015-2016 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2016-2017 as a grant-in-aid to the city and county of Honolulu for the maintenance and repair of the following streets in the 96817 zip code:

     (1)  Ihe street;

     (2)  Kealakai street;

     (3)  Pala street; and

     (4)  Panui street.

     The sums appropriated shall be expended by the city and county of Honolulu for the purpose of this Act.

     SECTION 2.  The streets listed in section 1 shall be exempt from any statute, rule, ordinance, or code requirement relating to minimum width.

     SECTION 3.  By accepting or expending grant-in-aid moneys appropriated by this Act, the legislature declares that the city and county of Honolulu shall not be deemed to have assumed ownership of or jurisdiction over the streets listed in section 1.

SECTION 4.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2015.
