HOUSE CONCURRENT

RESOLUTION

 

 

REQUESTING THE AUDITOR TO CONDUCT A MANAGEMENT AND FINANCIAL AUDIT OF THE AGRIBUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION.

 

 

 

     WHEREAS, Act 264, Session Laws of Hawaii 1994, established the Agribusiness Development Corporation; and

 

     WHEREAS, pursuant to section 163D-1, Hawaii Revised Statutes, the Agribusiness Development Corporation was established to administer an aggressive and dynamic agribusiness development program; and

 

     WHEREAS, pursuant to section 163D-3, Hawaii Revised Statutes, the Agribusiness Development Corporation is a public body corporate and politic and an instrumentality and agency of the State; and

 

     WHEREAS, as a state agency, the Agribusiness Development Corporation is accountable to the people of Hawaii; now, therefore,

 

     BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the Twenty-ninth Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2018, the Senate concurring, that the Auditor is requested to conduct a management and financial audit of the Agribusiness Development Corporation; and

 

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Auditor is requested to report the Auditor's findings and recommendations to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the Regular Session of 2019; and

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that certified copies of this Concurrent Resolution be transmitted to the Auditor and the Chairperson of the Agribusiness Development Corporation.
