THIRTY-THIRD LEGISLATURE, 2025
STATE OF HAWAII

A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

Relating to State Organization and Administration.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 

     SECTION 1.  Chapter 26, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to part I to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

     "§26-    Reorganization; report.  Any department, office, or other state agency shall, upon making a final determination to reorganize, submit a report to the legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the immediately following regular session.  The report shall include:

     (1)  An estimated timeline for the completion of the reorganization; and

     (2)  The divisions and positions affected by the reorganization."

     SECTION 2.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
