A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO THE HONOLULU BIENNIAL INTERNATIONAL ARTS EXHIBITION.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $250,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2016-2017 as a grant pursuant to chapter 42F, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to the Honolulu Biennial Foundation for the purposes of funding the Honolulu Biennial 2017, an international arts exhibition staged throughout Honolulu to celebrate contemporary visual art from the Pacific, the United States, and Asia.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the state foundation on culture and the arts for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2016.
