A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO LAND TRANSFER.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The legislature finds that lands in Kapolei were previously transferred to the University of Hawaii for construction of the University of Hawaii West Oahu campus.  The legislature further finds that certain parcels, particularly those located mauka of the interstate H-1 highway, have not been developed by the University of Hawaii and should be transferred to the department of land and natural resources.

     The purpose of this Act is to transfer fee title ownership of the parcels of land identified as TMK no. (1) 9-2-002:001, (1) 9-2-002:003, (1) 9-2-002:005, and (1) 9-2-002:007 from the University of Hawaii to the department of land and natural resources.

     SECTION 2.  The University of Hawaii shall transfer fee title ownership of the parcels of land identified as TMK no. (1) 9-2-002:001, (1) 9-2-002:003, (1) 9-2-002:005, and (1) 9-2-002:007 to the department of land and natural resources, and the property shall constitute public lands pursuant to chapter 171, Hawaii Revised Statutes.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
