A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to menstrual equity.
BE IT
ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 302A, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§302A- Menstrual
products; availability. The
department shall provide menstrual products to students for free on all public
secondary school campuses.
For the purposes of this section, "menstrual products" includes sanitary napkins and tampons."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2021.
