Section
136B.4,
Code
2011,
is
amended
to
read
as

follows:

Fees

appropriation

The
department
shall
establish
a
fee
schedule
to
defray

the
costs
of
the
certification
and
credentialing
programs
5
established
pursuant
to
section
136B.1
and
the
testing
6
conducted
and
the
written
reports
provided
pursuant
to
section
7
136B.3
.

2.
The
proceeds
derived
from
the
fees
collected
under
9
subsection
1
shall
be
credited
to
the
general
fund
of
the
10
state.
The
proceeds
credited
to
the
general
fund
of
the
state
11
under
this
subsection
are
appropriated,
annually,
to
the
12
department
for
administration
of
the
programs
established
under
13
this
chapter.

The
department
shall
adopt
rules,
pursuant
to
chapter
15

,
to
implement
this
chapter
.

EXPLANATION
17
This
bill
provides
that
the
proceeds
derived
from
fees

collected
to
defray
the
costs
of
radon-related
programs
under

Code
chapter
136B
are
to
be
credited
to
the
general
fund
of
the
20
state
and
are
appropriated
annually
to
the
department
of
public
21
health
for
administration
of
these
programs.
