1.
MEDICAID

AND
COMMUNITY-BASED
SERVICES

WAIVER
——
DAILY
RATE
FOR
SUPPORTED
COMMUNITY
LIVING
SERVICES

PROVIDED
IN
THE
FAMILY
HOME.
The
department
of
human
services
3
shall
amend
any
Medicaid
managed
care
contract,
seek
any
4
federal
approval,
and
amend
or
adopt
administrative
rules
5
pursuant
to
chapter
17A,
as
necessary,
to
provide
that
6
supported
community
living
services
provided
under
a
Medicaid
7
home
and
community-based
services
waiver
shall
be
available
at
8
a
daily
rate
to
members
eighteen
years
of
age
and
older
living
9
in
the
home
of
the
member’s
family,
legal
representative,
or
10
foster
family.

inclusion

the

the
members

the
general
assembly.

This
bill
relates
to
Medicaid
home
and
community-based
15
services
(HCBS)
supported
community
living
services.
16
Under
current
law,
supported
community
living
services
are
17
available
at
a
daily
rate
to
members
living
outside
the
home
of
18
their
family,
legal
representative,
or
foster
family
(family
19
home)
and
for
whom
a
provider
has
the
primary
responsibility
20
for
supervision
or
structure
during
the
month.
For
those
21
members
not
living
outside
a
family
home,
supported
community
22
living
services
are
available
at
a
15-minute
rate
for
up
to
23
7.75
hours
per
day
in
the
member’s
family
home.

The
bill
requires
the
department
of
human
services
to
amend
25
any
managed
care
contract,
seek
any
federal
approval,
and
amend
26
or
adopt

as

to
provide
that

supported
community
living
services
provided
under
a
Medicaid

home
and
community-based
services
waiver
