Code
2024,
is
amended

by
adding
the
following
new
paragraph:

PARAGRAPH
.
g.
Annually
submit
a
written
report
to
the

general
assembly
by
December
1
and
present
before
the
standing

committees
on
government
oversight
and
appropriations
of
each
5
house
of
the
general
assembly,
if
requested.
The
report

must
include
but
is
not
limited
to
information
on
all
of
the
7
following:

(1)
The
development
and
implementation
of
a
nonpartisan
9
state-federal
relations
program
accessible
to
all
three
10
branches
of
government.
11
(2)
The
annual
state-federal
program
presented
to
Iowa’s
12
congressional
delegation.
13
(3)
Training
sessions
conducted
for
state
government
14
officials.
15
(4)
The
maintenance
of
a
management
information
system.
16
(5)
Legislative
or
regulatory
issues
the
office
has
17
addressed
with
the
federal
legislative
or
executive
branch
on
18
behalf
of
the
governor
or
a
state
entity,
including
matters
of
19
preemption.

(6)
The
status
of
all
federal
programmatic
and
grant
moneys
21
available
to
state
entities
and
local
jurisdictions,
including
22
notices
of
funding
availability
and
whether
or
not
such
moneys
23
were
sought
or
secured.

(7)
Contacts
with
federal
officials,
officials
from
other
25
states,
organizations,
business
groups,
and
professional
26
associations
resulting
in
shared
information
and
cooperative

agreements.

inclusion
of
this
explanation
does

constitute
agreement

This
bill
requires
the
office
for
state-federal
relations

to
provide
an
annual,
written
report
to
the
general
assembly

by
December

that
includes
information
on
the
nonpartisan

relations

the
office,
