Flexible
fuel
new
motor

vehicle
sale
requirements.

1.
For
purposes
of
this
section,
“flexible
fuel
vehicle”

means
the
same
as
defined
in
section
452A.2.

and
after
January
1,
2025,
but
before
January
1,
2027,

at
least
twenty-five
percent
of
all
new
motor
vehicles
sold
by

a
licensed
dealer
in
new
motor
vehicles
shall
be
flexible
fuel

vehicles.

2027,
but
before

2030,

fifty
percent
of
all
new
motor
vehicles
sold
by
a

licensed
dealer
in

be

This
bill
requires
that
on
and
after
January
1,
2025,
but

before
January
1,
2027,
at
least
25
percent
of
all
new
motor

vehicles
sold
by
a
licensed
dealer
in
new
motor
vehicles
shall

be
flexible
fuel
vehicles.
On
and
after
January
1,
2027,
but
22
before
January
1,
2030,
at
least
50
percent
of
all
new
motor
23
vehicles
sold
by
a
licensed
dealer
in
new
motor
vehicles
shall
24
be
flexible
fuel
vehicles.
On
and
after
January
1,
2030,
all
25
new
motor
vehicles
sold
by
a
licensed
dealer
in
new
motor
26
vehicles
shall
be
flexible
fuel
vehicles.
A
flexible
fuel
27
vehicle
is
a
motor
vehicle
that
is
powered
by
an
engine
capable
28
of
operating
using
E-85
gasoline.
A
person
who
violates
the
29
provisions
of
the
bill
is
guilty
of
a
simple
misdemeanor
30
punishable
by
a
fine
of
not
less
than
$250
nor
more
than
$1,500
31
or
by
imprisonment
not
to
exceed
30
days,
and
is
subject
to
32
having
the
person’s
motor
vehicle
dealer
license
revoked
or
33
suspended.
