Section
1.
Section
124E.3,
Code
2024,
is
amended
by
adding
1
the
following
new
subsection:

NEW
SUBSECTION
.
4.
A
health
care
practitioner
that

establishes
or
maintains
a
relationship
with
a
patient
through
4
the
use
of
telemedicine
shall
comply
with
the
requirements
of
5
653
IAC
13.11(7).

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
requires
that
a
health
care
practitioner
who
10
establishes
or
maintains
a
relationship
with
a
patient
for
11
the
issuance
of
a
written
certification
to
receive
a
medical
12
cannabidiol
registration
card
through
the
use
of
telemedicine
13
comply
with
rules
established
by
the
board
of
medicine
14
regarding
physician-patient
relationships
using
telemedicine.
