the

aid
due

the

shall
pay
the
amounts
to
the
respective

area
education
agencies
on
a
monthly
basis
from
September
15

through
June
15
during
each
school
year
as
determined
by
the

department
of
management
in
the
same
manner
as
provided
under

The
department
of
management

district

amount

aid

a

for

the
school
district
shall
pay

deficiency
to
the
area
education
agency
from
other
moneys

on
a
quarterly
basis
during

amount.
The
approved
accounting
amount

shall
be
compared
with
any
amounts
paid
by
the
department
of

to

area

agency
and

from
the
October
payment

paragraph
for
the
next
school
year.
Any
amount

by

shall

portion

the

amount

the

budget
that
shall
be
deducted
from
the
state
aid
of
a
4
school
district
shall
be
the
same
as
the
ratio
that
the
budget
5
enrollment
for
the
budget
year
of
the
school
district
bears
to
6
the
total
budget
enrollment
in
the
state
for
that
budget
year
7
in
which
the
deduction
is
made.

4.
Section
282.33,
subsection
1,
Code
2022,
is
amended

to
read
as
follows:

1.
A
child
who
resides
in
an
institution
for
children
under

the
jurisdiction
of
the
director
of
human
services
referred

to
in
section
218.1,
subsection
3,
4,
5,
or
6
,
and
who
is
13
not
enrolled
in
the
educational
program
of
the
district
of
14
residence
of
the
child,
shall
receive
appropriate
educational

services.
The
institution
in
which
the
child
resides
shall

submit
a

program
and
budget
based
on
the
average

attendance
of
the
children
residing
in
the
institution

of

and

pursuant
to
section
256.7,
subsection

the

the

The
approved

subsequent
fiscal
year.
The

that

a

district

as
the

amends
Code
section

to
provide
that
all

Code
chapter
257,
unless
otherwise

Under
current

law,
the

of

monthly
