1.
Section
331.301,
Code
2023,
is
amended
by
adding
1
the
following
new
subsection:

NEW
SUBSECTION
.
22.
A
county
shall
not
adopt
an
ordinance,

motion,
resolution,
or
amendment,
or
use
any
other
means,
that
4
establishes,
intentionally
or
effectively,
a
maximum
limit
of
5
egg-laying
hens
allowed
on
a
property
that
is
less
than
three
6
egg-laying
hens
per
resident
of
the
property.
This
subsection
7
does
not
prohibit
the
lessor
of
a
property
from
limiting
the
8
number
of
egg-laying
hens
a
lessee
has
on
the
property.

Sec.
2.
Section
364.3,
Code
2023,
is
amended
by
adding
the
10
following
new
subsection:

city

adopt

amendment,
or

that

the
property.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute

bill
relates
to
the
possession
of
egg-laying
hens.
The

bill
