to
read
as
follows:

A
receiving
district
may
send
school
vehicles
into
the

district
of
residence
of
the
pupil
using
the
open
enrollment

option
under
this
section
,
for
the
purpose
of
transporting
the

pupil
to
and
from
school
in
the
receiving
district
,
if
the
6
boards
of
both
the
sending
and
receiving
districts
agree
to
7
this
arrangement
.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
relates
to
the
transportation
to
and
from
school

of
pupils
participating
in
open
enrollment.
Current
law
13
authorizes
a
receiving
school
district
to
send
school
vehicles
14
into
the
district
of
residence
of
a
pupil
who
open
enrolls,
15
for
the
purpose
of
transporting
the
pupil
to
and
from
school
16
in
the
receiving
school
district,
if
the
boards
of
directors
17
of
the
sending
school
district
and
receiving
school
district
18
agree
to
this
arrangement.
The
bill
strikes
the
requirement
19
that
the
boards
of
directors
of
the
sending
school
district
and
20
receiving
school
district
agree
to
the
arrangement.
