Section
483A.8C,
subsection
1,
Code
2019,
is

amended
to
read
as
follows:

1.
A
nonambulatory
person
who
is
a
resident
may
be
issued
3
one
any
sex
deer
hunting
license
which
is
valid
and
may
be
used
4
to
hunt
deer
with
a
shotgun
or
a
muzzleloading
rifle
during
5
any
established
deer
hunting
season
using
the
method
of
take
6
authorized
by
rule
for
each
season
being
hunted.
If
the
tag
is
7
filled
during
one
of
the
seasons,
the
license
will
not
be
valid
8
in
subsequent
seasons
.
A
person
who
applies
for
a
license
9
pursuant
to
this
section
shall
complete
a
form,
as
required
10
by
rule,
that
is
signed
by
a
physician
who
verifies
that
the
11
person
is
nonambulatory.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with
14
the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
changes
the
weapons
requirements
for
nonambulatory
16
hunters.
17
Currently,
nonambulatory
hunters
may
only
use
a
shotgun
or
a
18
muzzleloading
rifle
while
using
an
any
sex
deer
hunting
license
19
during
any
established
deer
hunting
season.
20
The
bill
allows
nonambulatory
hunters
to
use
the
method
of
21
take
authorized
for
the
season
being
hunted
while
using
an
any
22
sex
deer
hunting
license.
If
a
tag
is
filled
in
one
of
the
23
seasons,
the
license
will
not
be
valid
in
subsequent
seasons.
