a

unless
the
person

may
register
as

home

parent,
aunt,
uncle,
grandparent,
or

adult
sibling
of
a
child
receiving
child
care
from
the
person

or
program
.

inclusion

this
explanation
does

constitute
agreement
with

This
bill
requires
child
care
homes
to
register
as
child

development
homes
and
provides
exceptions.

The
bill
changes
the
definition
of
“child
care
home”
to

a
person
or
program
providing
child
care
to
five
or
fewer

children
at
any
one
time
that
is
registered
to
provide
child
28
care
under
this
Code
chapter,
except
as
authorized
under
Code
29
section
237A.3.
The
bill
makes
a
conforming
change
to
the

definition
of
“child
development
home”.

The
bill
requires
a
child
care
home
to
register
as
a
child
32
development
home
unless
the
person
providing
the
child
care
or

operating
the
program
is
a
parent,
aunt,
uncle,
grandparent,
or

adult
sibling
of
a
